Efthimiadis Nikos

He was born in Karditsa where he began his musical studies. He attended the first lessons in choir conducting with his father St. Efthymiadis and I. Adamidis with whom he completed his studies obtaining a Diploma in Choir Conducting. He also holds degrees in advanced theory, a violin degree as well as a degree from the Department of Music Studies at AUTh.

Attended classes and seminars for conducting vocal ensembles, Gregorian chant, 16th century liturgical music in Italy, Serbia, Bulgaria, etc. He has given concerts as a violinist and conductor of choir and orchestra both in Greece and abroad. He has been a member of committees in international festivals and choir competitions and has taught in international seminars and master classes. Today, he teaches violin at the Contemporary Conservatory of Larissa, where he is in charge of Music Ensembles, as well as conducting the choir departments of the Toumpa-K Conservatory. He also teaches choir conducting at the D. Dimopoulos Conservatory. In 2011 the 12th Panhellenic Choir Conference honored him as the leading Greek Young Greek choir director for that year, while since 2016 he has been on the board of the Hellenic Choir House as the Curator of the Region.
