Grampsas Giannis

He was born in Karditsa where he received his basic knowledge of music theory and choir with St. Efthymiadis. He then studied advanced theory and monody at the Municipal Conservatory of Larissa with teachers G. Tsanakas and K. Damasioti, graduating with honors. He completed his studies at AUTh. (Department of Music Studies) where he studied musicology and music pedagogy.

At the same time he attended conducting courses and various cycles of seminars for music analysis and theory with many well-known Greek and foreign university teachers. He worked for many years as a theorist in most conservatories of Central Greece and served as Artistic Director and music consultant in several of them.

Today he is the Artistic Director of the Modern Conservatory of Larissa, which he founded in 2003. He teaches regularly in seminars and is a member of the artistic committees of the Ministry of Culture throughout Greece, while from 2006-2011 he was a member of the Board. of the “House of Greek Choirs”
