Matis Konstantinos

He was born in Larissa. He studied piano and advanced theory at the Municipal Conservatory of Larissa in the class of the renowned conductor and director of the conservatory Giannis Tsanakas. (excellent unanimously) as well as the composition diplomas (excellent unanimously) and Piano (excellent unanimously). He continued his studies in Munich, at the Hochschulefür Musik und Theater München (University of Music and Theater) on piano with Prof. Franz Massinger and address with Prof. Gerd Guglhör from where he graduated in July 2007 with a diploma in piano and a diploma thesis (Diplomarbeit) on Greek school songs. He attended piano seminars, choir conducting, advanced theory, analysis, music pedagogy, music education, piano teaching, special education with well-known and important teachers abroad and in Greece.

He has given piano recitals in Greece and Germany (Munich Concert Hall, Munich State Gallery) and won the Second Commendation in the 9th Panhellenic Piano Competition of H.O.N. (1995) in Athens As a pianist he has collaborated with choirs of Thessaly, the “Greek Choir of Munich”, the children’s choir of “PhilharmoniaMusikvereinMünchen” and various soloists and orchestral ensembles in chamber music works. He regularly appears in concerts of Greek art music in Greece and abroad and has collaborated with the composer Lino Kokkoto. He has composed music for children’s plays and documentaries in collaboration with K.E.D. Elassonas, OKANA Larissa and the municipality of Tempi. He is a member of the Association of Letters and Arts of Thessaly. He founded and conducted the children’s choir of MES Kraneas Antichasia and the Hellenic-German Association of Munich “O Nikotsaras” while he was conductor of the Band of the Municipality of Elassona.

He worked as a piano teacher at the “Haar” conservatory in Munich and at the Municipal Conservatory of Giannoulis in Larissa. From 2009-2015 he conducted the Children’s Choir of the Municipality of Elassona and the Mixed Municipal Choir of Elassona. He teaches piano and advanced theoretical courses at the Modern Conservatory of Larissa and is a special associate of the Arcadian Conservatory of Astros. Conducts the choral ensembles (children – youth – mixed choir) of the Music Association of Elassona “musicArte”, of which he is a founding member. He also has the artistic direction and teaching of the Choir of the Directorate of Social Actions of the Municipality of Larissa and the Municipal Choir of Farsala with numerous appearances in Greece and abroad.
